On 12 October 2026, SpaceX Super Intelligence (SpaceXSI) launched The X Subscription, a single plan that combines Grok, Grok Bot, the Cursor coding tool, and X Premium. Until now, these were sold separately. Here is what the bundle includes, what it costs, and where the catches are.

What is included

Depending on the tier, one subscription covers:

  • Grok: the AI chatbot, which can search the web and X
  • Grok Bot: AI assistants that each run on their own cloud computer. Available from the Premium tier up.
  • Cursor: an AI coding tool, which SpaceX acquired in August
  • X Premium: the verification checkmark, creator tools, and fewer ads on X

Tiers and prices

There are five tiers. Prices below are in US dollars per month, and they vary by country. Trending Topics converts the first two to roughly €7.10 and €26.70, but check your local price before subscribing.

  • Free: limited daily access to Grok and a small starter allowance for Cursor
  • Plus, $8: more AI usage, a checkmark, and creator tools
  • Premium, $30: four times Plus usage, plus video generation and Grok Bot
  • Super, $100: 15 times Plus usage and priority access to models at busy times
  • Ultra, $200: 50 times Plus usage and the earliest access to new products and models

For Premium, SpaceXSI says the bundle replaces SuperGrok, Cursor Pro, and X Premium+, which previously cost a combined $90 a month. The company also says every plan includes at least twice the coding usage with its own models compared with the equivalent old Cursor plan.

One shared pool

All usage comes from a single weekly pool shared across the tools. Time you don’t spend in one tool can go to another, but different tasks use up the pool at different speeds. A video generated in Grok Imagine costs more than a quick chat question. The weekly allowance refreshes, and independent coverage reports that unused usage does not carry over.

The catches

  • Third-party models cost extra. In Cursor, models from other companies stay available on Premium and above, but they are billed separately at standard API prices. The shared pool covers SpaceXSI’s own models.
  • Bigger tiers are only worth it if you use them. Ultra gives far more usage per dollar than Plus, but only if you actually use that much each week.
  • You don’t have to switch. Existing X Premium and X Premium+ subscribers can move to a comparable plan for the same price or less, or stay where they are.
  • Teams: Premium, Super, and Ultra are available per seat at the same prices, with single sign-on, admin controls, and one consolidated bill.
  • Grok searched X for everyday complaints and found an idea: a shared app that reminds households of chores like changing filters and rotating tires.
  • Grok wrote the plan and suggested the name “Adult Upkeep”.
  • Grok Imagine produced a mockup and logo.
  • Cursor built a working web app with a landing page, running on its own cloud computer.
  • Grok wrote the launch post for X, and a Grok Bot named Max was set up to watch replies and flag bugs.

Who is it for?

Casual users who want a chatbot and the checkmark will find Plus enough. Premium is the tier that adds Grok Bot and Cursor’s cloud agents, so it suits people who want the full set. Ultra is for heavy daily users. If you only need one of these tools, compare the bundle with what you pay today.
